Color-changing rim cleaners have been popular for many years because they are pH neutral, effective and produce visible results. There is no longer a need to use "acid-free" corrosive cleaning agents.<\/p>\n
However, not all rim cleaners are created equal\u2026<\/p>\n
First, the cheaper ones are diluted. So you get less active ingredient, which causes a slower color change and worse final results. It may look attractive at this size and price, but try comparing it to our Deep Purple or Ferrous Dueller iron removers and you'll soon see the difference.<\/p>\n
Secondly, we created a full-spectrum rim cleaner based on our best-selling Ferrous Dueller rim remover. It has been slightly thickened to extend the working time and contains surfactants to remove dirt and road debris. Additionally, we added a bit of solvent to soften the tar stains that plague the wheels, especially in summer. It won't remove them completely, especially if they're baked on, but it helps. This means the color change may not be as intense or as quick as Ferrous Dueller as it is a broader formula, but this makes it MUCH more effective for dedicated wheel cleaning tasks.<\/p>\n
Available in a liter, ideal bottle size. Simply rinse the wheels with a pressure washer to remove loose dirt, spray Deep Purple onto the wheel face, spokes, drum and rim, redistributing it with a wheel brush if necessary, and then leave for a few minutes for the color to change. Once everything has turned a deep purple, rinse with water - the wheels should now be sparkling clean.
