Autoglym Wheel Protector – a superhydrophobic, durable barrier that minimizes the adhesion of brake dust, keeping your wheels cleaner longer. A perfect finish after washing your wheels. A special new formula repels dirt even more effectively, ensuring a great finish!

Brake dust damages wheels and can damage them if left untreated. We've teamed up with our racing partners to develop the best solution to this annoying problem.

Before you begin:

This is an easy-to-use spray sealant, but it does require time to dry before it can be effective. After applying, do not touch or buff the wheel surface, drive, or allow the wheels to get wet until the sealant is completely dry.

If you are using Instant Tire Dressing, apply it before Wheel Protector and remove any overspray.

Usage:

  • Make sure your rims are clean, cool to the touch and completely dry.
  • Shake well and spray, covering half the rim surface. Remove any excess from the tire as it may leave a white residue.
  • Do not polish or touch after application, just let it dry for 1-1.5 hours, the longer the better.
  • Capacity: 300 ml

    Frequently Asked Questions:

    • How long will Wheel Protector last?
      • Wheel Protector can last up to 6 weeks depending on weather and driving conditions.
    • Does Wheel Protector prevent brake dust from sticking to the rim?
      • Yes, Wheel Protector leaves an invisible coating that reduces brake dust build-up.
    • How long can the product last?
      • Depending on the size of the rims, but on average 300ml can contain enough product to provide protection for 16 rims, so treating this every 6 weeks means it will last for about 6 months.
    • What type of rims is the Wheel Protector suitable for?
      • Wheel Protector is suitable for use on Split, Diamond Cut, Refurbished, Multispoke, anodized, and unpainted rims. Wheel Protector is not suitable for rims that are black, dark, or mirror-finish.
    • Why is Wheel Protector not suitable for black, dark or mirror-finished rims?
      • The finish won't be acceptable. This will leave an uneven, oily film. We recommend using High Definition Wax, Extra Gloss Protection, Super Resin Polish, or Instant Show Shine. These don't have the super hydrophobic properties of Wheel Protector, but they will protect the wheels and make future cleaning easier.
    • Is Wheel Protector safe to use on discs and calipers?
      • Yes, but avoid using Wheel Protector on these areas where possible, do not soak these areas.
